Season Start-up Message

Hello All SGRA Families,
I trust this message finds you all doing well and enjoying the tail end of our summer break!  This email is to inform you that the first week of on ice ringette sessions starts September 6th.  The schedule will be posted to the website under the SCHEDULES tab once it becomes available.  It is always recommended that you check the website frequently, as the schedule is subject to change. As an FYI, the Active Start Division will not begin until later in September.
SGRA is asking all families to watch for emails from their respective Directors as well to check your Division Home page (division menu on right hand side of home page or top menu bar) for the most current information.  Shortly there will also be information posted to the website detailing the player assessment process.
  • The Division player groupings will be posted to their Divisional webpage very soon. These groups are subject to change as the player assessments progress. Please check your Divisional webpage often.
  • The player assessment/evaluations are scheduled for the first 3 weeks of September (6 - 23ish), depending on age level.
  • At this point, parents often ask “when will my child play?”  The “base” week is posted once the number and type of teams are determined, usually about September 25th.  In the past, each team in the U10 to U19 divisions has one consistent half-ice practice Monday through Thursday and 1-2 slots on the weekends.  League games can be scheduled during the week and on weekends.  Teams may also schedule dryland and off-ice activities.  The Active Start Division will likely play on weekends only, every Saturday and every second Sunday for a total of three ice times every 2 weeks.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support throughout the start-up of the 2016-2017 ringette season. See you all at the arena very soon!
