Welcome to the 2017-18 Ringette Season! On behalf of the SGRA Board, we hope that you had a fantastic summer break and are ready to start another exciting season of ringette.
Evaluations
Evaluations began on Tuesday, September 5th and usually runs to about the third week of September, depending on age division. Ensure you check the schedule and process posted on the SGRA website, your Divisional webpage and your email frequently, as schedules and information are subject to change. The Active Start Division will not begin until later in September.
Voluntary Organization

SGRA relies on volunteers to operate our association in an environment of teamwork, respect and integrity. Every member contributes to ensuring a successful season, both on and off the ice. Directors handing out pinnies and answering questions. Parents and coaches on the ice doing UAA timing and opening gates for game play. Those behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly. We are all volunteers, doing the best we can to make your child’s sport experience a positive one.
Our volunteer Board members and independent evaluators have been working hard over the last few weeks to plan a timely, thorough and transparent evaluation process. We acknowledge that it may be an uncertain, and perhaps stressful, time for families. It’s our role as parents/guardians, coaches and family members to be positive, encourage our kids and support them. In a few weeks,players will be on a team, have teammates and coaches, and be ready to participate in all that this sport can offer!
Lines of Communication
The SGRA website and your Division Director are primary means of information. If you have questions, ensure you’ve visited the relevant sections of the SGRA website and contact your Divisional Director for clarification.
