Spectator/Facility Rules

Oct. 29, 2020

To All Members,

We are now a few weeks into our season and for the most part, things are going well. Our athletes are enjoying ringette again and parents are given the opportunity to watch them play.

That being said, there seems to be an issue with teams following the 1 spectator per player rule.

Please note that this is a rule in place by not only ourselves but other associations as well.
We need to make sure that each player's family is following this rule as it is not fair if some are restricting their other spouse or grandparent to watch when another family brings 4 or 5 family members.
If possible, siblings are also to not attend practices/games.

This rule is in place to make sure we follow our facility rules. If we as an association do not, we risk jeopardizing our ice.  The safety officer and/or manager has the right to ask spectators who are not following this rule to leave the facility and further consequences could arise.

Best practice could be to implement a mandatory check in of spectators for each team, prior to game time, according to the facility's number of spectator limitation.

Please do your part in making sure this season continues for the sake of the athletes!
