Welcome to the 2026/2027 SGRA U14 Ringette Season!

My name is Troy Turton, and I will be your U14 Division Director. This is my first year in this role, and I am excited to be a part of your child’s season. I have one daughter that plays with SGRA and this will be her 3rd season. She is going into her first year of U10 and is excited to “play with the big kids”! For the past two seasons I have been the Active Start Head Coach, and have loved every second of it, and I am excited to be a part of a Step 1 team this season! Just like many of you, I am busy working on that work/life balance between work and family. I will strive to be available to you for any questions or concerns. I ask for your patience during evaluations as this is a busy time as a director and as a parent. Over the next week you will receive many emails that address evaluations (team formations), volunteer requests and general ringette related information. SGRA believes in fairness and transparency in our processes and policies. We strive to have open, honest and respectful communication and I ask that if you have any questions or concerns, please remember that during the season your first line of contact will be the team manager, who will then notify me, the U14 Director, of any concerns. Keep in mind, SGRA strongly encourages the “24 hrs rule” be adhered to prior to raising any concerns. Evaluations

SGRA is happy to once again partner with Sports Evaluations Ltd. Please see the evaluation guide and evaluation criteria for important information.

An email is forthcoming regarding volunteer positions. I will be looking to fill bench roles, score keeping roles and time keeping. If there is a position you would like on a day that you know works for you, feel free to let me know prior to the request.

MANDATORY CHEQUES

No cheques will be needed during evaluations.
