EVALUATIONS
This year SGRA has once again hired Sports Evaluations Ltd. who will be responsible for the evaluation process. As such, the Evaluation Guide and Evaluation Criteria has been updated and I strongly encourage you to review this guide in its entirety.
After each skate, families will be emailed (please check your junk folder) with details of their player's next evaluation skate. Families will NOT receive ratings or scores. U16 evaluations will be scheduled for after the September long weekend.
Please refer to the SGRA Evaluation Homepage and the U16 Home Page to stay tuned for future dates and times.
PLAYER POSITIONS
For U16, the AA team will be selected by the headcoach with final approval of an over site committee.
For U16A the top 60% of skaters will be protected and the U16A coach will be allowed to select the remaining 40% for the roster. Once the A coach selections have been completed the roster will be announced, the remaining teams will follow the same process.
DEPOSITS AND FEES:
By proceeding with registration, you agree to authorize Spruce Grove Ringette Association to the following:
ALL FAMILIES MUST PAY THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO PLAYER BEING ALLOWED TO SKATE WITH TEAM:
You will be required to provide one (1) UNDATED Bingo deposit cheque in the amount of $200.00, payable to SGRA. This deposit will not be cashed if your one mandatory bingo shift requirement per family is fulfilled before the due date in 2027. Cheques will be collected by the team manager.
SGRA has a number of bingo slots that we are required to fill. Each family is required to work 1 bingo shift - excluding Head Coaches, Managers and SGRA Board Members. To sign up for a bingo, please see the 'Bingo/Casino' tab on the SGRA website, found under 'Parents'.
Parents and/or guardians will assume full responsibility and the cost of all or any equipment, including jerseys, willfully damaged, broken or not returned upon season completion by the registered player. Any missing or damaged jerseys will be subject to a $150 fee per jersey for that player. Fees will be added to the players RAMP account and must be paid before registration will be allowed for the next season.
This year's fundraiser will be a raffle. A fundraising fee of $200 will be added to each family’s registration. More information and potential changes will be provided at a later date.
