Important Message from Ringette Alberta Re: Childrens Ringette

I’m writing to you with a quick update and an invitation from Ringette Alberta.
The first few months of 2019 have been busy. As you may have heard, Ringette Alberta met with representatives from local ringette associations across the province over the last six weeks. In those meetings, we presented the first thoughts on a plan to improve the ringette experience for all our players and grow the game for the long-term.
Our goal was to receive feedback from the associations about proposed new participation options, and get input about the best way to move forward. We can confidently say that we met that goal. We’ve listened to everyone who has provided their thoughts and questions to date, and we have modified the plan accordingly.
Now, Ringette Alberta would like to invite you to a webinar on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM where we will present the updated plan to the general ringette community.
This webinar will cover the plan for 2019-20 with a focus on Children's Ringette (U12 and younger). Children's Ringette is the only group that will experience significant change in the 2019-20 season. We encourage you to participate if you can, and welcome your questions and feedback.
Following the webinar and a short window for written feedback from the ringette community, the Board of Ringette Alberta will reach a final decision on any changes affecting the 2019-20 season. Their decision will be communicated no later than March 31, 2019. As for modifications to ringette for future seasons, these will be discussed over the next 8-12 months with the goal of presenting a complete three-to-five-year plan at the end of the process.
