SGRA believes in fairness and transparency in our processes and policies. EVALUATIONS - This year SGRA has hired Sports Evaluations Ltd. who will be responsible for the entire evaluation process. As such the evaluation guide has been updated and I strongly encourage you to review this guide in it's entirety prior to evaluations. After each skate families will be emailed (please check junk folder) with details of their player's next skate. Families will NOT receive rating or scores. U14 evaluations are tentatively scheduled to start on September 1. I will send a follow up email once the schedule has been posted.

AA EVALUATIONS - If your player is interested in trying out for AA this closes on August 31. For SGRA player's the fee is $75 and $150 for import players. Once U14AA team is selected, those players not selected will then attend the rest of their divisions’ evaluation skates. UAA scores will be transferred from AA evaluations, however cumulative evaluation scores will not. If your player is trying out for AA Iwould also suggest you read through this Playing AA document so you know what to expect. 

 

PLAYER POSITIONS - This question seems to have been missed on some registrations and therefore I ask that you please send me your players position preference ie. defence, forward or centre.

In addition to this I only received one request for a player to be goalie. Please also let me know if your player is a goalie and also please specify whether they are Full-time or Part-time goalie. 

 

VOLUNTEER - No successful season can run without an abundance of volunteers please be prepared I will be asking for volunteers for all evaluation skates. I will be sending a call for volunteers once the schedule has been released and I have specific times/groups/locations.

 

REF DIRECTOR NEEDED - SGRA is still in need of a Referee Director. If you or someone you know may be interested please don't hesitate to reach out. As always any questions please let me know.
